Following on from 2018’s conference, Living Locally, this year the Asian Trader Conference will build on the idea of Convenience and technology being the future of Britain’s villages and high streets.
Consumer trends are changing in the digital age. We shop less in one weekly trip to a big supermarket, and more and more we shop daily and locally: fresh ingredients and newly-prepared food-to-go are rising in demand, representing new opportunities for profit in Convenience. The hectic pace of life and smarter technology are speeding delivery from order points ever closer to home – Convenience can easily become part of this lucrative trend.
At the Asian Trader Conference 2019 we will look at how the Three Fs of Convenience: Fresh, Fast and Food-to-Go, will be expanded by emerging technologies in the next 12 months and explore the ways shoppers can enjoy a renewed and improved relationship with their local Convenience store.
The conference aims to give independent retailers the tools they need to deal with a rapidly changing grocery marketplace. It will provide key learnings throughout the day and will give valuable insight into how retailers, wholesalers and suppliers can succeed in this challenging and ever-changing market as Convenience gains in importance.
Some of the most experienced figures in the grocery industry and award winning retailers will pass on their acumen for retailers to gain the insight to help them run their businesses even better, creating profitable enterprises which can be passed on to the next generation.
